Jon Ulm, Senior Pastor, New Hope Christian Church

Family: Jon has been married to Jane since June 1977. Jane is a substitute teacher for Manassas City Schools. Their son Josh is married to Whitney and works for Cummins Engines in Columbus, Indiana. Their daughter Jenna is married to Remington and works as a R.N. with the Carient cardiology group in Manassas. Jon and Jane have three granddaughters (Novah, Eisley and Hailey) and one grandson (Grayson).

Birthday: August 22nd

Education: Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Milligan College and a Master of Arts in Religion from Emmanuel Christian Seminary in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Work Experience: Jon has served in preaching ministry since 1979 and has been serving New Hope (formerly Antioch Church of Christ) since December, 1990. He has served as President of the Florida Christian Convention and the Eastern Christian Conference. He has also served in various capacities with the Virginia Evangelizing Fellowship. He also volunteers with the Barefoot Doctors School in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Hometown: Jon grew up in Ft. Wayne, Indiana but considers Clearwater, Florida his hometown.  His father still lives there.

Hobbies: Carpentry, golf, singing, playing keyboards, and yard work.

Favorite Christian Recording Artists: Phillips, Craig, and Dean for their rich vocals (and, they are preachers in their “other lives!”), Acapella and Steven Curtis Chapman.

Favorite Secular Recording Artists: Kenny G, and Jim Brickman whenever he wants to unwind.

About Ministry: Jon enjoys sharing the life-experiences of a wide variety of people and watching God work in their lives.  He also likes the fact that no two days of ministry are ever the same!
